Ramirez was originally signed by the D-backs on May 22. The reliever was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels on May 16 before being outrighted to the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees two days later. In two games this season with the Angels (3.1 inning pitched), Ramirez posted a 5.40 ERA, allowing two earned runs off four hits.
