The Chicago White Sox are picking up the $16 million 2022 team option for veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel, multiple outlets reported Saturday. The 33-year-old right-hander split the 2021 season between the White Sox and Chicago Cubs, finishing 4-5 with a 2.26 ERA and 24 saves in 63 appearances. He struck out 100 batters in 59 2/3 innings and was an All-Star for the eighth time since 2011.
