While things seem to have cooled off on the Andrew Benintendi trade front, it’s clear the Red Sox have been open to moving him and could still pull the trigger there if the right deal materializes. With Hernandez in the fold, Michael Chavis might be the odd man out and could be on the trade block as well. If the Red Sox intend to stay under the $210 million competitive balance tax threshold in 2021, the club has about $14 million to spend before hitting that soft cap.
