Alex Cora serves as the all-too-convenient tie that binds the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros as the teams head into Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Friday in Houston. Cora, after all, was the Astros' bench coach for their World Series title-winning team in 2017 and the RedSox's manager during their championship-winning season the following year.
