Why the Red Sox are playing in Buffalo for the first time in 103 years

Nearly 120 years into their history, it’s rare for the Red Sox to play regular season games in an unfamiliar city. But that’s exactly what’s happening this week as Boston travels to Buffalo for a three-game series against the relocated Blue Jays. After the Canadian government ruled that the Blue Jays wouldn’t be able to play home games in Toronto due to the coronavirus pandemic, the team was sent scrambling looking for a new home.
