Tim Anderson’s leadoff homer of Tanner Houck to start Game 1 set the tone for a successful day for the club, as they used that to help win Game 1 3-2. In the second contest, the White Sox got a strong performance from starter Michael Kopech, who was in that role for the first time in nearly three years. His pitching along with another memorable moment from Yermin Mercedes finished off the sweep of the day in a 5-1 victory.
