Red Sox: Marcelo Mayer enters Baseball America's top 100 prospect rankings

The Red Sox first-round pick joins top prospects on an esteemed list Baseball America released its midseason update to the publication’s annual top 100 prospects list on Monday, and the Boston Red Sox have a new addition as part of their three representatives on said updated list. As of June, Boston also had three of the top 100 prospects in the game by Baseball America’s standards, but that particular trio has since changed following the conclusion of this year’s first-year player draft.
