Heath Hembree cut by Phillies, so did the Red Sox already win trade?

At the time of the trade, the Phillies knew Workman -- a pending free agent -- was just a rental. But Hembree was under team control through 2021 and was theoretically supposed to be part of Philadelphia’s bullpen next year. Hembree then imploded in 11 appearances with the Phils, posting a 12.54 ERA and allowing 24 baserunners in 9 ⅓ innings.
