Josh Hood didn’t play a single college baseball game in 2021. As it turns out, what he did in an abbreviated career at the University of Pennsylvania and in a few college summer leagues proved to be more than enough to solidify his resume. The 2018 NJ.com Player of the Year and St. Augustine Prep graduate, Hood was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 20th round (586 overall) of the MLB Draft on Tuesday.
