The Boston Red Sox made a colossal mistake. It didn’t take a heroic performance in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday for Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts to prove the Red Sox were fools for parting with him, but it certainly didn’t help Boston’s case that Betts looked like the best player in the world against the Tampa Bay Rays.
